Does my guy friend seceretly like me!?

Were 20 and worked together before he moved away to a different university an hour away. We clicked and got along and at work went out to lunch and just hung out together & not with the other 14 students at work. Well we developed a weird friendship where he had SO much fun making of me cause he 'doesnt care about my feelings' and we would argue but not seriously..just bicker and everyone thought we were dating..well he moved away and said he misses me n we should hang out so he can make fun of me again. He claims hes not inlove with me but maybe he does this cause he is? Why else would a guy do this?
