What do you think of a susposed animal lover who takes away a childs pet?

Recently my dog got out. My ex husband used to punish him if we were late getting home and he made a mess in the house. This fear stayed even after my husband and I seperated. One snowy night he bolted. I couldn't go looking for him, do I leave my child alone or take a 3yr old out in knee deep snow? He had diarrhea all over the house. This was 2 x's in the past year. I knew he would come home. I was so torn. My neighbor brought him home and claimed he attacked her dog and bit her. This dog has always loved this neighbor, and anyone with half a brain should know better than to stick their hand between two dogs. Her claim that it was my dog that bit her could not be proven because it could have been her dog or her dogs choker coller. She called and attorney, the police, went to the hospital. She lied about getting rabies shots I found that out from the police. U can't get them more than once. And won't get if skin is not broken. I saw the "bite" skin was not broken.
